Probably old news, but it is the first time I read this. Interesting point from an outsider of the gun world sucked in and talking about her experience. I like to talk to people about why we shoot, why we like guns and the social benefits of the sport.

2I'm afraid her followup report would be about her going to buy a gun and being horrified by the folks running the gun shop.
I don't like to think of my self as an artist so much as someone who stares at empty spaces and imagines s--t.

3No dought!! Good point. Here in Ga. is a good place to get scared. I know of one place I don't refuse to go. Trigger Time. It's a ride, but well worth it.judgepacker wrote:I'm afraid her followup report would be about her going to buy a gun and being horrified by the folks running the gun shop.

5Cool article.
Finding the right group of folks, and the right place can make all the difference for new shooters, particularly if they view themselves as 'outsiders'.Sonofagun wrote:No dought!! Good point. 6Yes and they have a fully opperational indoor shooting range, 9 pistola and 3 or 4 rifle lanes all at 35 yards. There's a young kid there 20-25 who's very knowledgable and easy going. The rest of the guys are easy to deal with as well and very helpful. Even their prices seem to be lower than surrounding shops. The Ruger Super Blackhawk 44mag I want is 530. Anywhere else it's atleast 600. It's a new place so I hope the hospitality doesn't wear off too soon. I didn't see any signs or stickers to represent any sort of political or religious drama or agenda.whitey wrote:Do they rent guns?
