Sick and sad.

Call it revenge, call it justice, call it whatever you want but that woman (and anyone else associated with this) needs a needle in the arm. Plain and simple. I heard about this a couple of days ago and just sat there dumbfounded that something like this had happened.

I don't have cable (everything I watch I get online) but I'd be willing to bet that this story has gotten next to 0 play in the "news." Would I win?

I guarantee you if it does get news coverage, it's Faux News trying to spin this as an upstanding patriot being smeared by the evil left wing media. Or the prosecutor is a brown loving America hater with a liberal agenda or some other bullshit. Repugnicunts have no such thing as too low.

If it's true that the FBI were warned and did nothing, that is pretty shameful.

I would love to see that evil, pathetic excuse for a human being put in the general population of an Arizona prison for a while before being taken out and shot. I hate our prison system, but sometimes, I think that the prisoners dish out more appropriate punishment to deserving scumbags than our justice system.

I had to think long and hard about the death penalty question when I was "finding myself" back in the day and trying to figure out where I stood on issues. While the lib in me knows that the law is disproportionately applied, can send innocent people to their deaths, and is bad for any number of other reasons there is one personality defect that I have that gets in the way of all of that. I've worked on it for a long time and, as I try to lead a peaceful existence and be as harmonious with my surroundings as I can there is one thing that I can't get past:

I don't forgive.

When someone has done extreme wrong by me I never forget it and I never forgive it. That's not to say that I stay angry about it....I mean, something like that could tear a person apart. But the whole forgive and forget thing? I've tried and I just can't do it.

I think of what I'd do if someone ever harmed or killed someone I love and what I'd want to see happen to that person. Life in prison isn't even close. I'd want my smiling face to be the last thing they saw as they knew they were about to die. Short of being able to push the button myself I can't think of any other way I'd want to deal with it.

When I have conversations with my friends about this and they bash me for being for the death penalty I tell them to try to put themselves, mentally, fully in the situation of being told that *this* person has done something horrible to someone you love. Now, tell me you wouldn't want revenge.

That's the other part....I fully acknowledge that it's vengeance in action. Nothing more....simply an eye for an eye. And, while a wise man said that that thinking makes the whole world blind, I'll gladly gouge the eyes out of the person that's hurt someone I love.

In my world, this woman wouldn't get the death penalty....she'd have to watch while someone shot her kid twice in the head like they did to this family. Then she'd get the death penalty.

Sorry - I know this is a really dark post but.....man.....these fucking people......they beat down this family's door, terrorized them...true and in the deepest corners of your mind kind of terror, killed two of them, tried to kill the other.....and why? Hate....pure and simple. Screw the "we thought they had drugs" defense. It comes down to hate. And, while you can argue that I've done nothing but hate in this post at least, in my mind, I'm hating the ones who deserve it....not some poor family.

Sadly I think a lot of people would let them go, if more people would actually get a gun, AND learn how to use it AND actually use it when they need, gang violence, and crap like this wouldn't happen.

hey not all minutemen are right wingers, much less white supremacists...... some of us are far left socialists.... some of us just want to protect the nation in the improbable even of an invasion..... most of us just use the term minuteman to justify getting an AR-15 for run N gun target practice courses.

I did such a happy dance when I read this the other day. I'm not trying to egg Xela on....just voicing my approval for the decision in this case.

She deserves to die.
