...their wallets. Kinda.
My plan is this:
This area, though in one of the shittiest(if not THE shittiest) states for gun ownership, has lots of gun shops. I am going to start walking into them, looking to order something expensive - say a Benelli scattergun. Before the purchase is set in stone, i will bait them on politics. When they "show their hand", i will politely disagree and explain to them that i will be taking my business elsewhere due to their rhetoric. If enough folks do this, they just might tone it down a notch or three. If i ever find a Lib gun shop owner, a highly unlikely possibility, i may just get myself an SBE2.

I have a problem though, the gun shop I frequent already knows I'm broke all the time. They wouldn't believe I had the money to buy, say, their Accuracy International...in fact, they would be suspicious about the whole deal
But I get your point.

4Yep. I would ease up a bit. Strictly from a business point of view.goosekiller wrote:If i was a gun shop owner and thought i was losing business due to my spewage, i would adjust my rhetoric, wouldn't you?
Unfortunately, most dealers I've met are not of the adjusting rhetoric kind.

5I have said I appreciate the absence of political crap in some stores. Hopefully they can see the benefit of keeping it neutral.

Remember these tea party base folks are the "Government hands off my medicare" caliber of minds we are talking about. I rate them equal to the typical .22 short blank. Possibly achieving the heights of the small pistol primer.

7Not all gun shop owners are complete tards. They tend to cater to tards, however. 8What happens if the gun shop owner is a Liberal? Are you going to back away from the Benelli? He'll probably think his politics caused him to lose the sale and turn into a Glen Beck admirer.
Re: Hit 'em where it hurts...
9So far I've been lucky, no "in the face" diatribes or off handed political comments by gun salesmen in my area. There are enough liberals in this state that they can't generalize that all gun buyers are flaming wingers. The only thing I've heard was one cashier who commented that gun sales were very good that day since a Demo governor had just been elected, we always joke so I took it jokingly. Are you in a rural area of "Illinoise"?goosekiller wrote:...their wallets. Kinda.
