Forgive me Father, for it have been four months since my last range trip...
I had to try out my first revolver with a red dot. This is a neat holosun recommended by a fellow lgc'er. It has a delta reticle and system that helps you find the reticle when you "lose" it. Very slick.
Revolver is an 8-shot Smith in 22 magnum. It has Hogue big butt grips on it, which were a bit heavy. I will probably go with rubber grips.
Took awhile to dial-in the red dot, but once dialed, it was amazing. Here's my best group:
The first 4 shots are center...then I lost it and the rest scattered. This is 30 feet.
I can see, with practice, the becoming a 50y gun.
Also took my S&W 617 out to shoot 22lr:
This is my best double action at 30 feet.
Nothing like rimfire in the morning!

3You can take away the anticipation with the load one/skip two/load two/skip one/load one/skip one trick.

4The pictures are out of order. The tight group on the bottom is me "aiming." I haven't gotten the hang of the red dot yet. The 10-round group is double action shooting as fast as the range will allow.
I clearly need to get the range more.
And thanks CDF...I do the cylinder mix on my 357s. I just don't shoot those much now because of the ammo shortage

5If I remember correctly, Senorgrand, you're in SLO, CA? Let me know next time you're headed to the range and I'll join you!

7Nice. I was at an outdoor wedding last week, kept hearing .22 in the background. Probably bolt action, given the pause between shots. Miss my range time.
