Glock Trigger Jobs

1
I have a Glock 17 that I had a 3.5 lbs connector put in it a while back, trying to make the trigger break more 1911'ish like. I later found out that the connector actually brings the pull to about 4.5lbs and that you have to change the firing pin spring to make it a true 3.5 lbs, or something like that. My questions are:

1. Is it legal to do these things to glocks, I mean in the event that you actually have to use it in home defense, is the jury gonna try to hang you with it? If so then why the fuck are they selling it?

2. Does putting these parts hinder the reliability of glocks? I`ve personally had no jams with the two glock i had, but I`m talking about if you were actually torture testing them?

3. How can I make the trigger pull even sweeter, without fucking up the reliability, cause I`ve seen some people on the internet saying that if you change the firing pin spring you might get misfire if you have a light/bad primer or something like that.

4. Does changing these parts mess with the safeties on glocks as far as making them more likely to fire if dropped?

Any expert opinions?

Yes, and possibly.

For competiton.

IMHO, do NOT try to lighten the trigger on a Glock unless you're using it for competition. I actually did the opposite with my G29. I had a NY1 trigger spring installed to increase the pull to 8 lbs.

When your life's on the line and the adrenaline's flowing, you'll be surprised how light an 8 lb. (or heavier) trigger feels.
