I guess the name Governorpacker wouldn't be quite as funny.

Or would half-moon clips take care of the issue?Inquisitor wrote:45acp is intriguing. Does Taurus have a model that does that?
Full moon clips would be significantly nicer. I've shot a buddies S&W 625JM competitively and those full moon clips are NICE.flemco wrote:Or would half-moon clips take care of the issue?Inquisitor wrote:45acp is intriguing. Does Taurus have a model that does that?

Doesn't say on the Taurus site, so probably both. The 41 bore and 45 Colt are both rimmed so I'm thinking like the rest that clips are used for the .45 ACP.Inquisitor wrote:45acp is intriguing. Does Taurus have a model that does that?
I have a Judge, great snake gun, it doesn't take .45acp and honestly I don't see the point in a revolver that takes an auto round … especially when you've got a great cartridge like .45 Long Colt already.Inquisitor wrote:45acp is intriguing. Does Taurus have a model that does that?
Actually Hornady makes a .410 handgun round that fires 4 rounds of ball. I've seen a video of it tested against a target made from 2x4s at 10ft. it literally splintered the 2x4s, blew 'em apart. Another video showed a water battle test of the same ammo, the penetration was equivalent to 18 inches.Wurble wrote:.410 is a virtually worthless self defense round. Handy maybe as a snake gun; not much else.

Standard .410 shot is useless against pretty much anything but snakes, rabbits and birds; .410 slug is decent but these new cartridges are thoroughly lethal.
You can stab someone from 10ft away!?!? Impressive!Wurble wrote:And accurate at knife range.Love&A.45 wrote:Actually Hornady makes a .410 handgun round that fires 4 rounds of ball. 21 feet in the time it takes to draw a gun.Love&A.45 wrote: You can stab someone from 10ft away!?!? Impressive!
Most gun fights happen at 7ft or less.
You know I've heard a lot of people say that, but I've yet to hear someone one say that who actually fired the gun (and doesn't work for Taurus's competition), I'm gonna go ahead and assume you fall into that group as well.Wurble wrote: Judge is a gimmick, plain and simple.
21ft Rule: 21ft is the distance at which a blade wielder starts to become a threat to a gun wielder. At 21ft a person wielding a blade can charge a person with a gun before the gun wielder canWurble wrote:21 feet in the time it takes to draw a gun.Love&A.45 wrote:
