I was interested in the comment that the president is charming, and has a very attractive family.

I mostly hang around Jezebel (part of the Gawker network) and every time there is a picture posted of the President and his family, many of the women on the site flail and swoon about how handsome he is. And I won't even go into the amount of envy about the First Lady's well sculpted arms. There is also considerable squeegasming over his daughters who are as cute as buttons.

President Obama is just a generally good looking man, with a good looking family, and he rocks that appearance. Just look at Hollywood and mainstream entertainment, and with voters of a younger age, appearance is everything. I wouldn't be surprised that some people close to my age voted for him (if they voted at all) just because he is a damned handsome man.

Then there's the people who voted for him because they were afraid that McCain would die in office and Palin would be president.
