The Taliban and other armed groups have to be brought into the political process. People can brag about the Surge in Iraq being a success but it was really vindicated by bringing the Sunnis closer to the political process.

So... We had to destroy the village to save it?

One more failure to lay at the feet of Bush, Dick and Rummy. You can't ignore a war for 6 years and expect it to wait 'till you're ready.
