Back from zombie land. today is my first day without narcotics from the surgery had a lot more wrong once they got inside they also had to repair wrist along with base of thumb reconstruction I have had 4 other surgeries and this is by far the worst, very painful I am not sure if I really want too have the other one done next year. I have a lot of reading to catch up on from my buddies at LGC the Irishman

Sorry to hear about the pain. I hope the surgeries were successful and long term fixes for your ailments. Take care, enjoy the reading. Don't post drunk or drugged out.

welcome back, irish. glad to hear things went (reasonably) well, and don't worry, by the time next year rolls around you'll have forgotten just how shitty the first surgery was!

Welcome back - I was just starting to wonder about your whereabouts. Sorry to hear about the pain... up the meds I will have to say that I have had 1 surgery - 3 different hernias repaired at one time (nothing like neotrotsky's but still.....) and I never want to have another one if I can avoid it. It is indeed painful. But........ in a few months you will likely have completely recovered and be enjoying your new dexterity.

Chances are next week you'll be feeling much better.

I hope this time passes fast. Re-focus on the crazy-ass crap that has been going on while you were away and let your developing migraine take your mind off the other pain.

Here's another one (sorry if it's gross and/or not funny, made it up this morning and haven't had the guts to tell it to anyone)

You know how some mornings you wake up and your gut feels like it's about to burst, and you get to the bathroom and sit down to crap, and it's a lot of work, and it takes a long time and makes a lot of noise and at the end of it you think, "Damn, that's gotta be one big crap!" and then you stand up and look down and it's really just two or three little turds floating around?

That always reminds me of Sarah Palin.

Man, just the description of the surgery makes me grit my teeth.
Try to think of all the shots you will be making in a few weeks ( from a gun, not a whiskey bottle).

Welcome back to reality, though you might find that the world of drugs was more real. Careful with the drugs and the Rev Jim Beam (or whatever your poison). Now you can sit in front of the TV and give all those 'feckin gobsites' the right salute.
