Gas Masks

The only good thing to come out of this mess is something I didn't know: the gas masks.

All members of congress have gas masks under their seats. I didn't know that. They have them in case a mob storms the capital and the Capital Police start lobbing CS gas around. Like last Wednesday. The Rotunda, full of CS gas. (Jesus.)

I saw congressmen and senators wearing gas masks, trying to figure out how to see with them. The "good" congress folks who went to D.C. to fight the good fight, and who are doing their level best to remain ethical, deliver what they promised and stay true have my sympathy. I imagine that was a terrifying experience.

But I have to say, for the scum like McConnell and Graham, it's good to remind them that they have gas masks under their seats.

And above all why they have gas masks under their seats.
"When I have your wounded." -- Major Charles L. Kelly, callsign "Dustoff", refusing to acknowledge that an L.Z. was too hot, moments before being killed by a single shot, July 1st, 1964.

"Touch it, dude!"

It's better to keep them concerned so they have to daily check to make sure the mask is there and that it has not been "serviced just for them".
To be vintage it must be older than me!
