Sorry.... there is a failure in that chart. Tatooine is NOT on the Corellian trade route, but in Hutt space (since it is Hutt controlled), especially since it was used by smugglers to stay "off the radar". Pretty obvious fail.

Not according to Star Wars Wiki:
Tatooine (pronounced tætu'in) was a desert world in a binary star system in the Arkanis sector of the Outer Rim Territories. It was inhabited by poor locals who mostly farmed moisture for a living. Other activities included used equipment retailing and scrap dealing. The planet was on the 5709-DC Shipping Lane, a spur of the Triellus Trade Route, which itself connected to the Sisar Run. The planet was not far from the Corellian Run. It had its own navigation system. However, it would still play a role in galactic events, serving as the home of Anakin Skywalker. It was here that Jedi Master Qui-Gon Jinn recognized Anakin's potential to become a Jedi and where he introduced him to Obi-Wan Kenobi, his future master and mentor. Tatooine was also the home of Anakin's son, Luke, where he lived until his early adulthood. The planet built up a very bad reputation, often being viewed as the cesspool of the galaxy due to the high-level of criminals who could be found onworld.

Wait! Didn't Spielberg shoot himself in the foot during Episode 1 saying it was a Hutt controlled planet? (if I'm wrong I wouldn't be surprised). I swear Qui-Gon Jinn mentioned it.

Qui-Gon did, yes. But saying it's controlled by the Hutts could've been a mistake. It might've been more like controlled by Jabba's family. Tejisilic Tiuri or something like that. It WAS controlled by A Hutt.

EDIT: Desilijic Tiure. Thanks Star Wars wiki.

I ran across a broomhandled Mauser for sale at a gunshow this last weekend. First thing I thought of:

Hey, I can convert that into Han's blaster!

Start at the compass in the lower right hand corner. Go diagonally upper left. It's next to Geonosis.

Navi-computer?! Pfffft. The Navi are stone aged blue people. They don't have computers.

Wait. Wrong franchise.

Star Wars is my thing.

Probably more so than guns.

I read the EU stuff, can tell you exactly how Lucas fucked all us Star Wars nerds with the prequels (and the books he turned non-canon with them) and quite a bit more.

Yes. I'm a nerd.

Star Wars nerd.
Computer nerd.
Gun nerd.

Triple threat!

You should know that Lucas is first and foremost a business man. The movie market changed significantly since the first three movies, which were released in a time when rated R movies made serious money. Now days, rated R borders on a curse, as people tend to favor more family appropriate movies. And it’s the all age appeal movies that are making big coin, like the Shreck series. So Lucas took the basic story and made is a little less dark, and a little more appropriate for all ages. Still, when watching Episode 3, I skip past the killing of the young Jedi and much of the wanton slaughter, which was admittedly watered way down, but my kids are quite young.

The Clone War wasn’t what I’d hoped it would be, but it basically stuck to the story. I was hoping for much more details and much more intrigue; and it would have been cool to see some psychotic cloned Jedi.

Most really hated the kid who played Anakin Skywalker, but I thought he did a good job. I picture Anakin exactly like that, and the path to the dark side very much like the whining tantrum of a self absorbed and confused teenager who has too much power at his disposal. The whining that everyone hated, I thought was 100% in character…you just wanted to step in and bitch-slap him (something missing from the Jedi training manual). So all in all, I thought the journey to Darth Vader was done pretty well considering they were really trying their best to water it down to make PG.

Oh, and I can totally see the destruction of the Old Republic as a bumbling move by Jar Jar Binks (the character kids love, and adults hate). If they had to have Jar Jar, then it was appropriate that it was him who started the old republic on its way out.

The originals were all rated PG.

I watched episodes I and II, and it shat all over my childhood. I can't bring myself to watch the third one, because I don't want to be hurt again.

The ONLY good points:

Ewan McGreggor- PERFECT young Obi-Wan (even if he isn't the biggest fan of the series... amazing actor) He nailed it perfect.

Samuel L Jackson- Jedi IA cop? Perfect. Just wish they actually would've WROTE a story thread that would've gave him more power and influence over the story. Such a great catalyst that got wasted.

Liam Neeson and Jimmy Smits- They fucking WASTED two great actors! They gave Liam a horrible script that even made him look bad, and they had an actor who is knows (with the right director) to pull out some great dramatic performance to a 5 line cameo... as Bail Organa got shafted story wise. I mean, he is one of the founders of the Rebel Alliance and he gets 1/50th the screen time as Jar Jar?!?! They only threw him in there because they HAD to... Don't cast great actors if you're going to shit all over the characters they have to work with.

Bugs designed the Death Star? That's the impression most people got from the movie....

The Massacre of the Jedi and of the Sand People were WAY too watered down cinematographicly. You can have drama without blood, but both failed on such accounts.

I could go on....
