"George Lucas Thinks the World Will End in 2012"
"Rogen was left speechless when Lucas and Steven Spielberg joined a movie meeting he was a part of - but the encounter has left him worried his life will be over next year.
He recalls, “George Lucas sits down and seriously proceeds to talk for around 25 minutes about how he thinks the world is gonna end in the year 2012, like, for real. He thinks it.
“He’s going on about the tectonic plates and all the time Spielberg is, like, rolling his eyes, like, ’My nerdy friend won’t shut up, I’m sorry...’

Ewan McGreggor- PERFECT young Obi-Wan (even if he isn't the biggest fan of the series... amazing actor) He nailed it perfect.
Samuel L Jackson- Jedi IA cop? Perfect. Just wish they actually would've WROTE a story thread that would've gave him more power and influence over the story. Such a great catalyst that got wasted.
Liam Neeson and Jimmy Smits- They fucking WASTED two great actors! They gave Liam a horrible script that even made him look bad, and they had an actor who is knows (with the right director) to pull out some great dramatic performance to a 5 line cameo... as Bail Organa got shafted story wise. I mean, he is one of the founders of the Rebel Alliance and he gets 1/50th the screen time as Jar Jar?!?! They only threw him in there because they HAD to... Don't cast great actors if you're going to shit all over the characters they have to work with.
Bugs designed the Death Star? That's the impression most people got from the movie....
The Massacre of the Jedi and of the Sand People were WAY too watered down cinematographicly. You can have drama without blood, but both failed on such accounts.
I could go on....
I agree with a bunch of what you posted there. That being said...
Sam Jackson?! NO. Bad call. Especially when the original plans for him were sidelined when he refused to play the part "if he went out like a bitch." His words, paraphrased. I like him in a few other movies, but his call to be special with a purple lightsaber and BMF engraved on it...bleck.

I am a Star Wars fundementalist; I have only seen the three original films and I have no plans on watching the Prequels.

So you're both bad spellers?

It's ok, everyone has their own way of viewing the awesomeness that is Star Wars. *cough* Star Wars > Star Trek
Watch the nerd war ensue...

Ok, I'll throw a wrench into this:
I grew up in a DEVOUT household Star Wars family. And, I was told by my father that Star Trek geeks were the ones who never got laid (even though my mother liked Star Trek... and well, that wasn't mentioned around her if my dad still wanted to get laid so the geek wars ran deep in our very home)
But, then I saw JJ Abrams version of Star Trek.
Now, I'm sold... only if the redux continues. You can keep your constantly changing previous Roddenberry versions.

BLASPHEMY!
I like Star Trek as well (good thing my wife's attracted to nerds) but think Star Wars is better. But the reboot...I couldn't stomach it. No thank you...

I was seven when the first Star Wars came out, so I was hooked. And I was already fluent in Star Trek at that point.
All ya'all be whack. Space 1999, beyotches!

To be sure though, I did like some of the prequel material. I liked the seduction of Anakin to the Dark Side but wish there was more Darth Vader. And I wish Jar Jar Binks was at the Jedi temple during the purge.
Star Trek reboot was great.
