Hard to get a picture through a rear iris with an iPhone. Here’s a few fuzzy pics anyway. One through it and the other not.

First shim for the front sight. I’ll cut pairs of the same thickness until I have the desired gap filled.

Shims for front tube done, one .015” and one .005” each side. Went on snug and then tightened hex screw.

With a temp paper shim checked general location and sight picture. Looks fine through the iris. The three shims I need to shape measure around .0465” or so. The next task is to put some bend on them so they will wrap around the barrel. I need to rig something up that is close to the barrel diameter. Getting close.

Testing and checking. My imperfections on bending played with my math. There was no easy way to get three shims. It always exceeded my calculations. So I tried it with two and even though it was one shim less I still needed to spread the base and tap to get it on.

Still need a few adjustments, but it’s in position and just needs tweeks. I’ll tweek it just a hair bit to get it closer to correct later today. For now I’m taking a break. LoL.
