Do we need a separate thread for the court battles? I think it's important to distinguish between the opinions of the people vs. the judiciary.

Good idea, sleep, sleep, sleep. Almost 99 million early/mail/absentee votes have been cast, predictions are 150-165 million total votes will be cast in this election, 2016 was about 137 million votes. Beware of exit polls since so many people have already voted.

I’m waking up at 4:30 am to get ready for work at the polls here in Los Angeles; a 14 hour day that starts at 6:00. Polls close at 8:00 pm or when the last person in line votes. I’ll probably be too tired to celebrate other than drive home and drink my dinner.

I'm hopeful when the days count starts pouring in that turd is so far behind that early and mail in votes won't need to be counted expediently, just accurately. Main reason for this hope - I want to see what turd says about counting them since he's been so hell bent on not counting. I would expect a yuge attitude change.

Turd already down 5 votes at midnight New Hampshire time.

The midnight vote, which has been a tradition for primary and general elections for decades, resulted in five votes for Biden and zero for President Trump.

I voted this morning in person. The parking lot at the church where we vote was pretty full but everything was well organized, plenty of voting booths, the line at the ballot scanner moved quickly, no one outside the polling place but the usual party affiliates offering leaflets and sample ballots for their candidates. Everyone was polite and well-behaved. It took me a bit longer than it usually does - 15 minutes from parking to voting to getting back on the road. Restored my faith, a little, in the process.

Good luck Bisbee, this may be less chaotic than normal since so many have voted by mail. Don't forget to take your breaks and stay hydrated.

While Nancy Pelosi has prepared for months for Trump's gazillion legal challenges determined to keep Americans (who vote Democratic) from having their votes counted, and, as Speaker, is in a powerful position, what can Democrats do if Trump, DESPERATE to keep out of NY and other prisons, actually engineers a violent coup? Can the senior military leaders count on the boots on the ground to stand with them against a coup? Or will THEY all roll over, too?

With Trump, the ONLY question he asks is: How can they stop me? Tomorrow could be a great day, or the worst day since the traitors fired on Fort Sumpter.

As witnessed by his epidemic response actions and his business successes, Donnie is not known for his ability to manage anything, let alone a coup. His inner circle leaks data, and heads of the military have made it plain that they will not get involved in civilian affairs.
The sun is up. Bright day with blue skies. Pheasant season is on, deer season starts Saturday. This will be a good week. Except for Donnie. Maybe he can arrange dual citizenship along with Snowden and get a nice dacha in Siberia.

I voted weeks ago by absentee, mailed it in with additional tracking. I know my vote arrived and will be counted.

I woke up this morning and went grocery shopping to top-off supplies for the coming weeks. I realize I should nap and get some good rest because, who knows how soundly I might (or not) sleep in the coming weeks.

All I know is, I can't relive 2016 again.

Don't get me wrong, I have HOPE.

I hope the election goes in our favor. I hope it goes uncontested. I hope he leaves. I hope he is rounded up and prosecuted. I hope his base goes back into hiding. And I HOPE we've all learned a very valuable lesson in the end.

Jon Sopel at BBC said there are three headlines we could see on Wednesday morning. 1- Biden wins; 2 - Trump wins; 3 - Biden wins by a landslide.

The four most recent landslides - 1964 Johnson over Goldwater; 1972 Nixon over McGovern; 1980 Reagan over Carter; and 1988 Bush I over Dukakis, three favored the Republican candidate and one a Democrat.

My wife and I voted here in VA in late September a straight democratic ticket, which hasn't always been the case for me (my first vote in this world was for Reagan). My real life gun buddies (all rabid Trumpsters) are still sending me anti-Biden crap even after I told them I'd vote for a maggot-ridden roadkill over Trump. What is it about Trump that negates his supporters critical thinking skills (those few that have them anyways)? Don't answer that - I'm not worried in the slightest. I predict a landslide for Biden because the signs are everywhere. My favorite story from the radio is about the the two American University students in D.C. who are from TX but never got the mail-in ballots they requested over a month ago. No problem. They pooled their funds, rented a car and drove 15 hrs to an early voting location in TX. Then they drove 15 hrs back. Said one of them to the interviewer, "No amount of voter suppression can stop us". Amen.

[quote]Kayleigh McEnany predicts ‘landslide’ win: ‘The Black vote came to President Trump’

White House Press Secretary Kayleigh McEnany on Tuesday predicted a “landslide” for President Donald Trump.

As voters went to the polls on Election Day, McEnany appeared on Fox News in her role as a Trump campaign adviser.

Fox News host Sandra Smith pointed out to McEnany that Trump has sought to undermine the counting of votes after election day in Pennsylvania. Experts have said that it could take up to three days to determine a winner in the commonwealth.

“There are three days left for those [mail-in] ballots to be tallied,” Smith said.

McEnany disagreed with current Pennsylvania law.

“Ballots should only be counted as they arrive on election day,” the press secretary opined. “And what the court did in Pennsylvania is say, ‘No, no, no, we can count ballots that arrive up to three days after election day.’ That’s not how it works.”

“But that’s nothing new,” Smith interrupted.

“We believe the court is wrong,” McEnany said.

But she predicted that President Donald Trump’s campaign would not need to take the election fight to the U.S. Supreme Court.

“We don’t think it will come to that because I’m predicting now, we win Nevada, we win Minnesota, I do believe President Trump has a landslide and this talk of litigation is nothing,” McEnany opined.

According to McEnany, Trump’s 306 electoral vote win over Hillary Clinton was also a “landslide” — even though the president lost the popular vote in that race.

“That is indicative of what’s going to happen,” she remarked. “A Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, Michigan victory, ending in Nevada won. And I’m telling you now, the story of this election is this: The Latino vote came to President Trump, the Black vote came to President Trump in numbers that we have not seen.”

Republican turnout in Florida is reported to be huge and eroding the Dem early voting lead. Who knows what's on those ballots, but the numbers by party are turning the wrong way.
