Yup, will this replace bullet proof glass ? Is palladium costly and rare making this expensive or abundant and available worldwide ?

There's all kinds of crystalline materials that are being worked on, including an aluminum which it's predicted will be transparent. They got the idea in the show from some materials guys working in the area. This really isn't a glass, glass isn't crystalline but a vitreous material, like china. Metals are crystalline and ceramics, as well as a lot of other materials, quartz and diamonds we are commonly familiar with. Confusingly, the kind of glassware described as 'crystal' is not crystalline, it is a glass with a lot of lead monoxide in the mix.
