I realize this is a reach, but I had to ask. Bought an old, 1980s-era, sporting 500A online and have started to modify it. I'm currently looking for alternatives to the wooden, checkered, stock forend. But the action tube is a scant 6.5" in length:
No one seems to manufacture furniture for this length of tube and I'm not too sure that an extended after-market action tube nut (like the type that Hogue manufactures and sells) will be of use.
Anyone with any experience at all with this stock configuration?
