Borris Johnson would have underscored the danger of catching Covid months ago for old white men... if anyone ‘em were paying attention.

Selective attention apparently results from wearing MAGA hats which squeeze on the head of the wearer in a manner that reduces attention span overall. Dark skin (hard to see under normal circumstances) are rendered virtually invisible by these hats.

Apparently Biden has told his campaign staff not to get sucked into commenting to the press, on Twitter...on Trump's drive by, stay focused on the campaign. Biden is in FL and will do a town hall on NBC tonight, good prep for the second debate if it happens.
President Donald Trump says he's leaving Walter Reed National Military Medical Center after spending three nights in the hospital being treated for coronavirus, an experience he recklessly downplayed in a message announcing his discharge.

"Don't be afraid of Covid. Don't let it dominate your life," Trump wrote, even as his doctors warned he wasn't yet "out of the woods." The building he's returning to has become a center for viral contagion -- in part because of disregard for mitigation measures.
He thinks being in the hospital makes him look weak. He's had a level of medical care and access to drugs that average Americans do not have.

Re: Donald Trump being sent to Walter Reed Hospital for COVID-19 treatment

He is going to return to the White House tonight around 6:30. Per his announcement.
On Monday afternoon, President Donald Trump sent a remarkably dangerous tweet announcing that he'll be leaving Walter Reed Medical Center later in the day after being admitted for COVID-19.

"I will be leaving the great Walter Reed Medical Center today at 6:30 P.M.," he said.

Then the tweet verged into truly dangerous territory, trampling on the administration health experts' extensive messaging campaigns warning people to take the extremely deadly virus seriously.

"Feeling really good!" he said. "Don't be afraid of Covid. Don't let it dominate your life. We have developed, under the Trump Administration, some really great drugs & knowledge. I feel better than I did 20 years ago!"

In case anyone needs a reminder, COVID-19 has already killed more than 210,000 people in the United States and 1 million people globally since the beginning of this year. This entirely new health threat is on pace to be the third most common cause of death in the United States this year, and its spread and severity has been sharply curtailed by the extensive and costly mitigation efforts the country has had to endure. It also can cause long-lasting and debilitating effects in individuals who survive it, and it can incapacitate people for weeks on end.

Now, even as many states are seeing record increases of infection, Trump is trying to undo so much of the work that has been done to warn people about the virus. It's likely to encourage his supporters to behave more recklessly and could arguably be his single-most dangerous tweet yet.

There's something particularly pernicious about his talk of the "really great drugs" he received while undergoing top-tier treatment that no one else in the country would get. Much of the country is still without health insurance, despite his promises to overhaul health care. And even if the treatments — many of the experimental and only marginally effective — were as good as he said, one of the dangers if people stop taking precautions around COVID-19 is that it will spread so quickly that health care systems will be overwhelmed. Under that scenario, which took hold in New York City in the spring, it may not matter much if existing treatments are effective as long as the hospitals are too burdened to administer them to everyone.

And of course, Trump may be acting extremely recklessly with his own health. As far as we can tell, he was only recently diagnosed with COVID-19, and many patients face their worst symptoms about seven to 10 days into the disease's course. Before then, they can often experience ups and downs. Reports suggest he is desperate to leave the hospital, perhaps for political reasons, so he may be acting against the best medical advice.

Medical professionals weighed in with dismay at the president's tweet:

So the Anti-Maskers will just think we can cure them in three days when they get COVID-19 and start passing it around.

Hardly, we’ll be on the hook to his family for generations, paying for medical and all those perks the major parties have garnered for themselves while giving the people mere pittance.

President COVID just showed how self absorbed he his.
Trump takes off COVID mask before entering the White House with the virus

President Donald Trump was airlifted from Walter Reed Medical Center to the White House on Monday after being hospitalized for nights with coronavirus.

Upon reaching the White House doors, Trump removed his COVID-19 mask despite still having the virus.

“The first thing the COVID-19 positive patient did when he arrived back in temporary housing was remove his mask, put it in his pocket,” MSNBC Brian Williams reported.

“Presumably he has to turn and go inside and come in contact with fellow humans,” he noted.

Actually, I was more concerned Trump would do what he just did... Tweet to America that Covid-19 was no big deal -even before he actually recovers.

Fortunately Twitter hid that tweet behind a wall saying it went against their policy of spreading false information! Facebook outright deleted his post!

Since it seems like everyone at the WH is getting sick, it appears they will set up the Map Room for Trump to work in and make his Twitter videos and even make a broadcast to the nation. Question is does he have enough lung capacity to do a broadcast, he seemed to have problems breathing when he returned to the WH.

One estimate is that his treatment with the experimental cocktail Regeneron cost $50,000, since it's experimental it's not covered by any insurance. Remdesivir is normally only given to pnts while they are hospitalized. He can tell his followers that it's just like the flu, but ordinary people don't have 14 of the country's best physicians/specialists monitoring them 24/7.

No we don’t have this kind of medical care. If we don’t no politician should either. Either all or none.

If he loses he's still president for 78 days after the election, so he get's the same medical care. That is thanks to our creaky old constitution he can continue to screw things up. I know, it's depressing.
