Maybe I'm just like my mother. She's never satisfied.senorgrand wrote: Wed Jun 10, 2020 5:06 pm BTW, "When Gloves Dry" sounds like a song from a Prince coverband.![]()
If I were still in my home state of Michigan, I’d be doing the same regarding the cold. Unfortunately I only own a pistol right now - SW MP 2 9mm - but I’m working on that. My brother has the fun stuff, which is why he bought his gloves. He bought XL, but I bought L so they’re a little more snug, but still have dexterity & proper circulation. My pistol trigger guard has generous space for finger with & without gloves. They’re thin enough & fit the fingers so that I can feel the trigger. You’re questions made me take a bunch of mental notes on what I need to pay attention to next time I’m at the range. I wasn’t working on accuracy the two days I went (and it showed) but next time I go I’m gonna shoot with & without them on to see if I need to make any adjustments. Prior to the pandemic I was really working on grip & have been doing that with dry fire bullets while at home. But in the sun my hands were sweating so bad I couldn’t make it through one mag before I was wiping my hands. With the gloves I can get the grip I’ve been practicing on. My pistol has a pretty aggressive grip to begin with, which is good because I’m not wearing gloves 99% of the time. I will say I wish there was a store that carried all there models so I can compare...that’s what sucks about online shopping. My pair is the “original tactical” or something but the make some with more sensitive finger tips, etc. I dig them though.mobrainzzz wrote:Good call on Mechanix. I've worn them for the opposite reason: too cold. I had an outdoor class at 28°F.
What were you shooting? Rifle/pistol/shotgun? How was the articulation in the gloves for you when working the trigger? Anything you'd do differently next time?
