Police immediately revoked the gun owner’s Massachusetts license to carry a firearm, saying the potential of the missing firearms being used on Lowell streets is disconcerting.
Wow. That is some seriously ###### up ####.

So I suppose if someone has their car stolen we should revoke their driver's license? After all, the potential of the missing car being used on Lowell streets would be disconcerting. Fracking gestapo.

If they tried that crap here in PA the township would find itself with a lawsuit the likes of which they've never seen.

Lowell is a dangerous town. I worked there in High School in one of the worse neighborhoods at a radio shack where we had a list of people to follow around and stop from stealing stuff. If I ever went back you'd better believe I'd be carrying.

I agree it's totally screwed up to revoke the guy's LTC (and illegal if what he says is true and the guns were properly locked, I hope he challenges it). But it means at least one of the criminal gangs disarmed in the most recent sweep has been rearmed. And that's bad news.

The guns were in a damn vault! This thing has 'disarm as many people as we can' all over it.

Yep, looks that way to me. It's not like the guy was storing his guns out on the porch... I think that most any reasonable person would say that a locked vault is reasonably secure. :!:

The company I work for floated teh ide of me trasnferring to the Boston offcie, which is actually in Lowell. I turned that down...mainly as I would never live in that state - period. At teh time I did not even really know about Lowell. Since then, besides here, I have learned other negative views of the area...lots of trouble with crack cocaine, meth, and heroin sales and use in the area.
REALLY glad now I turned down that transfer.

Yeah, but just think about all that snow you're missing!
