Well, I noticed some really shady articles in the NY Post. Now I am seeing clear disinformation about Brexit and UK elections in NY Post and WSJ (contradicted by UK outlets like BBC), so the strategy to make me doubt almost everything is working.

NY Post is what we used to call bird-cage bottom, fit only to absorb bird poop.

My last column, in which I expressed a moderate view on gun control, touched a raw nerve like no dentist ever did with the ammo-loving crowd.
...
Interesting take on the word "moderate" -- he views a .22 rifle as the incarnation of evil. If that is the redefinition of "moderate" what's left? Airsoft?

The New York Post is owned by News Corp. Enough said about ethics and balance.

It was once a real newspaper, founded by Alexander Hamilton in 1801. Even Langston Hughes had a column in it, in the early '60's. Then Murdoch bought it and instantly turned it into a low-class political version of The National Enquirer. The only thing he didn't do was fuck with the sports coverage, some of the best in the nation, so sports fanatics (like my idiot brother) would buy, even though they KNEW they were supporting this low-life fascist.

I guess gun lovers are not supposed to have fun at Christmas. Looks to me like the author is just looking for attention. What true gun lover (like he said he was) would be offended by an ad like that?

Nothing says "ignorant columnist" than someone who's deathly afraid of a 7 round .22LR survival rifle.

I would call the author a troll, myself. Twitter (or FB?) is the place for disinformation like that.

I can only imagine what the media response to someone making and marketing Stoners first survival rifle, the AR5, I'm sure it would be branded as a highly concealable sniper rifle.
Same basic profile but bolt action and chambered in 22Hornet, cool little toy.
