Baltimore City to consider lawsuits versus gun companies
As of Tuesday night, there have been 306 homicides in Baltimore City so far this year. City Solicitor Andre Davis said that escalating violence is why he will legally go after gun manufacturers to hold them responsible if Sandy Hook families succeed in their cases, he said.
"That decision by the court of appeals a couple of weeks ago was a breakthrough because congress has created immunity for these gun manufacturers that, up until now, has been impenetrable and this recent decision is the first small crack in the wall and we will continue to monitor it," Davis said.

This happened at Tuesday city council hearing about reducing the ongoing violence in Baltimore city. A bill was discussed to add penalties to the gun offender registry in Baltimore.

It's too bad no one files suit against automotive companies when people get hit by a car.

I mean....by the supreme courts logic & the logic that will now be used against Remington we might as well.

Their negligent commercials of cars with safety features which lul people into believing they almost drive them selves.

Or that jackwagon who isn't as skilled as he thinks in bad weather felt he was cause of your truck commercials.

Tie them up in lawsuits till they literally cant afford it.

I can see how this is palatable to the powers that be in Baltimore. Much easier to file a lawsuit against manufacturers and pretend like they’re doing something to “save the children”. They can then defer to an outcome that won’t be decided for a decade while ignoring poverty, poor education, rampant crime, essentially the same things they’ve been doing already.

Politics is messy.

I cannot wait for the multi-state lawsuits against fossil fuel companies. Like, remember how the Keystone pipeline was supposed to be leak-proof? Or that fracking wasn't an environmental concern? That is when lawsuits will get real.
