Article leaves out some important facts, but it's the Boston Globe.

‘Ghost guns’ made from kits are untraceable — and legal
Only New Jersey has outlawed the purchase of self-assembled weapons. But the Cambridge case drew the attention of state Representative Marjorie C. Decker, a Cambridge Democrat who in May filed legislation to require background checks for people buying self-assembled weapons. The bill would also require each gun made from a kit to be engraved with a serial number.

“It’s closing another back door for people who should not be in possession of guns because they have not gone through the process the state has put in place,” Decker said. The bill is in front of the Committee on Public Safety and Homeland Security.

State Representative David Linsky, a Natick Democrat who filed a similar bill in January, said he would like the state to “treat the selling of these pieces the same way that the selling of a completed firearm is treated.”

But without ghost guns, how will ghost hunters bring down their game?

Well of course they do! After all - literally every gun owner is just a hair breadth away from becoming the next Osama bin Laden!

Don't you just love being treated as if you're a latent mass murderer? Gives me the warm fuzzies.

But... think of the children who might get their hands on unlicensed proton accelerators or particle-beam weapons! Time for another weapons ban?

Proton accelerators are perfectly safe. As long as you're not a ghost. And as long as you don't cross the streams.
