If this guy is really a piece of shit extremist with a plan, then charge him. Don't take some guns away and let him go. Which could make matters worse.
Agreed. The big issue with ERPOs in WA state, is that the standard of proof is a "preponderance of the evidence" -- that's a fancy word for a level of certainty that's just a hair's breadth better than a coin flip. Of course they publicize the ones about neo-nazis because who can get behind a neo-nazi? But the fact is, these orders are just a back door to eliminating the 2A, one person at a time and with a standard basically equal to a coin flip, coupled with the career crushing prospect of not granting one to someone who then acts violently, nobody will ever win these.

That's the plan. Bad facts make bad laws. The NSA's domestic surveillance program is founded on a case where everyone wanted to see a purse snatching stalker get his few years in the slammer. https://www.wired.com/2013/10/nsa-smith ... snatching/

IMO, we need to lower the bar for what constitutes illegal hate speech. I have found a few neo-nazi sites accidentally when searching for something else. Wow - it looked to me that they were already way over the line. But these sites and groups of people exist mostly in the open without any restraint.
...
That's a pretty frightening sentiment honestly. From a Constitutional perspective, it opens everything up for greater abuse. From a practical perspective, anything that is forbidden is inherently more interesting.

Only good to come from this is the public exposure of the personal information on a AW cell member.

We turned up three Atomwaffen-styled "broadcasts" on the Telegram messaging service that advocate rape and murder of their victims. Feds have been notified but they are kind of in disbelief right now.

I warn you, this is VERY disturbing, but just goes to show you the true nature of AWD --

And yet those very disturbing items are not going to be enough warning when these guys get their rage on and decided to pull something.
