The victims were on 8th and Clearfield streets around 5:30 p.m. when an unidentified gunman opened fire. A 21-year-old man was shot once in the left shoulder, a 22-year-old man was shot once in the chest, a 14-year-old boy was shot once in the right hand and a 27-year-old man was shot once in the right hip and once in the right foot.

"Very little information on how the shooting occurred," Acting Philadelphia Police Commissioner Christine Coulter said. "We believe the shooters were in a vehicle, pulled up on the location and fired on the street."

"No one should have to live the way the people out here have to live around here," Elizabeth Goda said. "When they shoot, you never know if they're going to drive-by and thinking you're watching them."
