A Fisherman Found A GLOCK 17 On The Ocean Floor That Had Been There For 6 Months And It Functioned Perfectly – 10 PHOTOS
Recently in the Facebook group GLOCK NATION, a user submitted a story and photos that show just how much a GLOCK handgun can handle and still function.

We have been given permission by the author to share his story and photos. Here’s the story that was shared, followed by the photos provided:
Happy Glocktober!… Just wanna share my 1st hand Glock reliability/durability experience. Lost from a kayaking accident, it sat in ocean floor until a fisherman snagged it nearly half a year later. Local PD did ballistics and successfully fired in the condition it was found. A detective came knocking on my door saying they found her. I’ve since cleaned the rust and muck, sand blasted, re coated, changed the trigger and firing pin spring and no issues whatsoever. This is why Glock is the standard and will always be my no.1 carry. This is my Glocktimony

6 months in the ocean. I'm impressed at how little corrosion there actually was on it.

Bricks are reliable too. I wouldn't keep one in my gun safe though.

I carry a Glock 17. Reliable as a brick, and about as exciting. Crappy trigger takes all the fun out of shooting paper.

I completely rebuilt the gun and now it works great! So reliable!!!

I have a very rust 1873 trapdoor that functions perfectly and all it needed was a little cleaning and some oil.

It's plastic. Why didn't it float?

Why bother having a plastic gun if it can't take the place of a Rubber Duckie a bath time?

Someone should paint a Glock in this theme.

Ladies and Gentlemen, welcome to my thought process.

I am sure they are good, reliable firearms. I just cannot stand the grip and grip angle. Personal preference.
