Lindsey Graham demands GOPers sign Trump loyalty oath

Because of the impeachment.
Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) on Wednesday tried to derail the possible impeachment of President Donald Trump by asking Senate Republicans to sign a loyalty oath.

“I’m going to ask my colleagues in the Senate — Republicans — to sign a letter saying we do not believe the transcript of the phone call between the president and the Ukraine is an impeachable offense,” Graham told Fox News.

According to the South Carolina Republican, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Democrats “are about to destroy the nation for no good reason.”

“I want Nancy Pelosi to know Republican senators are not going to impeach this president based on this transcript,” he added. “She can stop now before she destroys the country.”

The guy who lead the impeachment of Bill Clinton for lying about a blow job that was consensual (and thus irrelevant) in a sexual harassment civil suit, a suit that was, by itself, fundamentally weak as there was no evidence of harm to the plaintiff. People say Clinton committed perjury, but he didn't because the lie did NOT meet a key requirement of perjury--it wasn't material to the case.

Yet Graham screamed this was the greatest crime any President had EVER committed, yet THIS President, risked our national security to "trade" for dirt on an opponent, and just betrayed an ally that's given us their blood, sweat, and tears.

I wonder if he’s having a “come to Jesus” moment now that Trump got rolled by Erdoğan and abandoned the Kurds.

Graham added: “We can’t abandon the Kurds now. We can’t turn it over to Turkey. To think that would work is really delusional and dangerous.”
For my part, I continue to be puzzled by how GOP’ers think.
