Long article on how the Trump administration is dismantling the BLM that controls the public lands mainly in our western states.
This falls under Trump's goal to privatize the federal lands out west for Development such as mining and logging without federal constraints. Hollow out the department until it can't function then declare it is not needed and kill it.
Remember these are the lands that many of the LGC along with many other Americans use for outdoor recreation including target shooting and hunting. Also used for preservation of both plant and animal endangered species.

With a vague plan that keeps changing as officials describe it — and no guarantees that Congress would fully fund their relocations — the employees were being detailed to distant locations in the West like Grand Junction, Colorado, and Reno, Nevada. Many career staff saw the move as part of a wider Trump administration effort to drive federal employees out of their jobs. Acting White House chief of staff Mike Mulvaney has described that approach as a “wonderful way to streamline government.”
