Lots of “things” and “stuff” going on in the NRA, too much for Hickok45 right now.

4Interesting, Hickok45 and his son are really stand up guys with no interest in right wing foolishness.

5Glad Hickok45 distanced himself, hope more do it. The NRA Board needs to feel pressure, they need to hemorrhage more money. Getting rid of Ackerman McQueen was just a start.

6I used to love watching his videos, but he was a paid NRA spokesperson. He made his YouTube career with NRA money. I like to watch him shoot, but he is no hero.

7I think they are still conservatives, they're just not blind conservatives hell bent on Republican victory regardless of the cost.Hiker wrote: Fri Jun 21, 2019 10:11 pm Interesting, Hickok45 and his son are really stand up guys with no interest in right wing foolishness.
I bet they are losing quite a bit of money by pulling the NRA endorsements out. It shows that they still have integrity, which is a bit rare these days on that side of the political divide.
Glad that federal government is boring again.
Re: Hickok45 distances himself from the NRA
8I think you are right. The seem conservative, but at the same time they show repsect for other people and keep politics out of their videos in favor of just focusing on guns as the common interest that unites us. I can respect that, and I've been giving them money on their Patreon account for about a year now. I appreciate having a calm, adult voice advocating for the shooting sports.Stiff wrote: Fri Jun 21, 2019 11:27 pmI think they are still conservatives, they're just not blind conservatives hell bent on Republican victory regardless of the cost.Hiker wrote: Fri Jun 21, 2019 10:11 pm Interesting, Hickok45 and his son are really stand up guys with no interest in right wing foolishness.

9Agreed 100%. I love Hickok45 - He is a fantastic spokesperson for the "shootin' stuff is fun" aspect of 2A.Eris wrote: Fri Jun 21, 2019 11:40 pmI think you are right.
