... confiscating semi autos w/ detachable magazines ...
Which includes Ruger 10/22 Rifles ;-)

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Winchester_Model_1905

Winchester Model 1905 is a semi auto with detachable magazine - and "Oh Yeah" the model number is the year it was released.

Writing the exact words to confiscate the guns they want is going to be really tricky.

Unlike when the NFA was passed, we now have the internet to communicate. I think that alone is going to make a serious difference.

A buy back will not work....too much money and BS. If it happens/when it comes they will just take them or enact legislation that makes ownership so expensive that you can't afford the licensing and permit fees and default. Then they'll fine or arrest you for owning an illegal item, or worse yet it'll be like some laws where you are declared a Domestic Terrorist and held without bail/trial.

They won't buy them back I do not believe. They'll just make the fees and penalties for possession without the "proper papers" a heinous act of Domestic Terrorism and off you'll go to a privately owned prison that will collect a pretty penny for keeping you safely locked away from Society.

Still bullshit. It's akin to saying we'd like to exclude "x" group from voting entirely but we'll settle for a massive poll tax on that group. We shouldn't be pushing unconstitutional (pick your amendment) ideas to get marginally constitutional restrictions on those rights. If it's worth restricting, show the evidence of such in a clear fashion rather than grandiose claims based on utter bullshit.

1K per rifle is my price (including carbines in pistol calibers)
If they can give me $1000 USD per semi auto rifle in my legal possession, they can have them, stick them up their collective asses and pretend to be a pack of corn dogs for all I care.
