Reports of somebody carrying a shotgun in Los Angeles got posters on the neighborhood App "NextDoor" all in a bother.

On the one hand it's a "Black Man with a Gun" on the other somebody did identify him as a homeless local who maybe did need checking out.

A bad pic of the gun was uploaded. It does look to be a sawed off pump but with an odd fold, or break down, in the center.

I think that's the muzzle on the left and butt on the right missing a butt pad?

Usually an incident of openly carrying a firearm gets at least on TV news, but didn't see any stories on this one. A man carrying a rifle in Harbor City was shot by police last month, but no shotgun. If it was a smaller area you could check the police blotter, big cities there are forms and fees to get reports.

Carrying a sawed-off shotgun is all kinds of illegal in CA...

The thing in the photo seems to have a hollow plastic stock that seems made of two pieces injection molded plastic.

Somebody tell NextDoor to post up the fact that it’s a broken toy the man is carrying before this black homeless guy gets shot by the police.
