McConnell's farce vote on the Green New Deal occurred today. Not a single Dem Senator voted in support. How utterly shocking.

It's all politics, the "Green New Deal" is one plan to get to zero fossil fuels but there are others. Global warming exists, but there are many "experts" giving their opinions on how long we have, it's not an exact science. News stories tout the latest study and as we know from gun studies all of them are not equal.

One irony of the Green New Deal proposal is that it is forcing some Republicans to put forward their own climate proposals after being led for two years by Trump, who has repeated[ly] dismissed as a hoax the overwhelming consensus among climate scientists that humans are warming the world.

He [McConnell] told reporters at the Capitol that he believes climate change is real and a result of human behavior. But he added, “The question is, how do you address it?”

Time Dems started critiquing Rep climate proposals and pushing for some common ground proposals, it can't just be CA and a few other states and can't just be the US and the EU while Russia, China and many other countries continue polluting.
