After 21 years here in the USA I applied for citizenship last September and this morning I passed the test.
Now I'm waiting for the letter that will give me the date and location of the oath ceremony. That should be about a month.

I'm just glad the worst of it is over. It's been a stressful week. Wife had a surgery last Friday and then this.
I finally feel like i can breathe.
I'm pretty excited about becoming a citizen and I plan on celebrating it by getting the Dan Wesson 1911 I have been wanting for years.
But first I need a passport and register to vote.

The worst is over indeed, but whatever you do, DO NOT be late to the oath ceremony. You won't be admitted once it starts, and the case file would end up in a black hole. Ask me how I know...

Congrats. I went through the same journey in 2010. This country has a way to assimilate people. I found that resistance was futile.

Welcome from another fellow naturalized alien! About 46 years ago here. Reality check though, we’ll never be trusted enough to qualify for President. That privilege is reserved for great natural born citizens like Trump! Birth makes people so much more qualified. Enjoy and vote!
