I'm just glad the worst of it is over. It's been a stressful week. Wife had a surgery last Friday and then this.
I finally feel like i can breathe.
I'm pretty excited about becoming a citizen and I plan on celebrating it by getting the Dan Wesson 1911 I have been wanting for years.
But first I need a passport and register to vote.
You need to get your priorities straight. Gun first, passport later. Uncle Sam will still be here next year, that pistol can be out of stock next week.

Congrats!
 true, very true.

I am from Belgium. Was an exchange student in the mid-eighties, met my future wife then, went back to Belgium but stayed in close contact with her and her family. I moved here in 1999 when we married. I naturalized in 2010, in part so I could vote and support Obama (it didn't really help).

Sweet! Congratulations! :yahoo:

My wife is naturalized (Jordan national) and she's always needling me about her dual citizenship. Says she can leave me here any time... Heh. :)

I went to school in Brugge (Bruges to Americans) in the spring semester of 1976...saw the Stones in Brussels at the Forest National stage.
Sadly, I haven't been back since, and I wish I had.

I remember you mentioning that in my intro post. You like Belgian Shepherds too. You have 3 or 4 I think. They are awesome, but too much energy for me. I draw the line at Border Collie level (we have one, and also a mix Collie/Black Lab and a Rhodesian Ridgeback).

Not simultaneously! :roflmao: We currently have only one Belgian Shepherd, an aging Tervuren. She's very sweet and lovable, but still a very high energy level, despite turning 13 in a few months. If you can handle a Bordie, a big mutt, AND a Rhodesian Ridgeback (!), all at the same time, you can handle a Belgian, no problem! A Malinois (the toughest of the 4 Belgian Shepherds) would fit in with your gang!
