Don’t get me wrong, I would never live in Quartzite. Bisbee is take on a heartbeat. Or Portal on the east side of the Chiicahuas.

Except for the Librul part, this sounds a lot like Quartzite.

Forgot about Quartzite, AZ.

I was thinking north east NM, still some weather but not extreme. Arid enough for you desert dwelling types.

I don’t think the idea is that crazy actually. There is a town of stargazers in the south west where everybody has a telescope (and some big ones) They ban street and outdoors light. Why not a town for crazy gun people?
I’m still working and tied up to where I live, but I’d buy a vacation home.

Or crazy, gun-toting star gazers. A whole new meaning to “shoot the moon.”

We should look for a pink state. Republican but within striking distance of turning blue. With any luck the town can be the deciding vote.

Yeah, Nevada hits that one on the head. Definitely don't want to be in deep red country.

Btw, if a town had the demographics of the LGC I probably wouldn’t move there.

If a town had the demographics of the LGC it would be a retirement community, not a town.

Alternatively, we could at least find a place to buy some inexpensive but relatively accessible land and put an LGC range on it. Have space for caretakers to live there, as well as some housing for those who want to stay for a few days or for events along with RV parking.

This would be a somewhat perfect place to my mind. . . also the town was one of the inspirations for the movie Cars

I'd like somewhere near Boise. They have a nice little downtown there when you want a good restaurant, and Idaho seems likely to be one of the last Western states to get Californicated.
But I'd look at Kentucky. Can we make horse aspic there and call it KY Jelly?

I dunno man, Idaho is pretty popular with the Arryan Nation types for some reason.

Wagontire, OR seems to be perpetually up for sale. Kinda flat for a rifle range though IIRC.
Cerro Gordo has been sold, didn't take long. Been there, you should have a 4x4 to get there.
