Sorry, I had to do it. I cannot help myself. And, yes, the S2K is pretty fun! And it takes CZ, S&W, and Canik mags (and, of course, Glock, SIG, and Beretta).

I've shot the S2K, and one that was decked out with all the Mcarbo upgrades at that, and I went with the PCC instead. Definitely more fun to shoot and it's gonna last a lot longer. Nothing against the S2K, great backpacking rifle, I just didn't feel like I would have as much fun putting a few thousand rounds a year through it, or even how many years in a row I could do that before it started to break down.

Yeah, and plastic sights?!? Anyone gonna trust their lives to a carbine with plastic sights that fold?!? Meh, a range toy at best. They should rename it the Sub100 because you aren’t going to be reaching out to hit anything past 100 yards reliably with those sights.

I’m just ribbin you guys...

I've owned both. The Ruger is a beast next to the Sub 2k. If you need the quick-deploy feature of the 2k, then the Ruger can't beat it. Or the magazine flexibility (as noted above)

Otherwise, Ruger wins, hands down. Especially in a AWB state.

Yes. Plastic. Like a Gl**k?

Awe c’mon the plastic on a Glock is like a brick... You can probably drive nails with a Glock frame. And the sights are actually metal in any case.

A folding plastic rear sight is just inviting Murphy for a visit at the most inopportune time.

Yup. Like it was built by a stoned plumber on acid! :roflmao:

But it is a lot of fun to shoot, EVERYONE stares at it and asks about it, and, it actually works very well, weighing less then 5# and folding to a 16" package. Uses the same magazines as my Cx4, the ones the 92fs uses as well.
Besides, there's lots uglier guns out there!

Well that’s one thing the S2K has over the PCC... While fun to shoot, every time I pick up the Ruger it surprises me by how heavy it is. The S2K is so svelte and light by comparison weighing in at half the weight.

Yes, that was my major reason to stay away from the PCC. It is about as heavy as my lightest KS-47 and AR-15.

If I didn't have the S2Ks, I would have jumped on the PCC. I am sure I would love it with a Ruger pistol to match, but I already have that niche covered - overly covered - with S2Ks and matching pistols in 9 and 40.

That big flying brick of a bolt inside the PCC receiver reminded me of the one in an Uzi, something that could easily double as a door-stop.

Just ordered the adapter so I can use my P320 mags in Kel-Tec.
Want to see if works. SHTF means one carbine, not 3. And being able to use the Sig's mags..... you get the rest.

If SHTF, go lightweight.

Your need for a weapon is unlikely. If you find yourself in a situation that begs for a large, heavy rifle: RUN AND HIDE!!

Hence, the Sub2K! Light, almost as light as an AR-7. But it shoots 9mm...and folds up.

Plan:
1) Drive like hell otherwise
2) Run like hell otherwise
3) Hide like hell otherwise
4) Shoot back if you have to otherwise
5) Attack any way you can, though you're probably going to die.
