Heat storage breakthrough

1
Scientists in Sweden have developed a specialised fluid, called a solar thermal fuel, that can store energy from the sun for well over a decade.
--snup--
The researchers have put the fluid through this cycle more than 125 times, picking up heat and dropping it off without significant damage to the molecule.

"We have made many crucial advances recently, and today we have an emissions-free energy system which works all year around," says Moth-Poulsen.

After a series of rapid developments, the researchers claim their fluid can now hold 250 watt-hours of energy per kilogram, which is double the the energy capacity of Tesla's Powerwall batteries, according to the NBC.

So, so simple: funnel through this fluid the hot air from the two chambers of the US Congress. Energy problems solved!!1!

If you add in the White House all the store heat energy would reverse global warming. It might even cause a new Little Ice Age.

That is pretty fucking cool. 10 year though. Damn these things need to move faster. If we could get the .gov to declare a climate emergency and throw cash and scientists at this stuff like they do with other security impacting issues, I think we'd be a lot further along.

The Swedish have the motivation to store energy, could be used for heating and cooling.

Besides collecting hot air from Congress, WH, SCOTUS and from all those lobbyists in DC, there are 50 state legislatures that produce a lot of it and a lot of churches.

This has been the Holy Grail for survivalists. While the fossil fuel industry would make sure it cannot be sold here, it would be great if Sweden would release the recipe on the internet.

The investors who will buy the research are probably Saudi, Russian, and Texan. They will just bury the research and make sure no one ever sees it.
