In Kill Bill Part 2, the Bride (Uma) drove a Ghia. Effortlessly cool even if the movie was not.
The Tigers were fun if not a little bit unbalanced. The Alpine was better behaved in the twisties and the Tigers has some difficulty getting all that horsepower to the ground. But fun.

Re: Vehicle models return from the grave
27My cousin had a Tiger and I guess I was about 12 at the time--it was such a blast to ride with him all around the back roads near us! Thing was fuckin' FAST! (for 1967) 0-6 times supposedly were competitive with the two Top Dogs at the time: The Sting-Ray and the X-KE. Interior was English-weird, and it had 3 tops: A removable hard top, a soft top, and a toneau cover that turned it into a 1-seater. Inusurance was insanely high for the time.Bucolic wrote: Fri Jan 18, 2019 4:24 pm In Kill Bill Part 2, the Bride (Uma) drove a Ghia. Effortlessly cool even if the movie was not.

I would love to have a Tacoma. I have to settle for being a passenger in one during hunting season, and that's okay.
Re: Vehicle models return from the grave
31I had a 2003 Tundra. I spent 11 years being disappointed with it, and traded it in on a 2014 Silverado. I've had it 4 years now and, much to my shock, I've never loved a truck more, and, it's a CHEVY, which I swore I'd never own again after my 1981 Citation! It simply does everything I want it to do well, and reliably. Yeah, it's big, but it's comfortable, even the back seats. Hard to park but that's about it.JohnNewell wrote: Sat Jan 19, 2019 5:20 amkhlavkalash wrote: Wed Jan 16, 2019 12:42 amISIS is probably recruitingEris wrote:I just want a real Toyota HiLux again.![]()

32Not CAFE - just a failure of imagination. Oh, and the usual fossil-fueled inertia that keeps the formerly-big-three US automakers leading from behind.khlavkalash wrote: Tue Jan 15, 2019 11:47 pm The small truck segment is gone thanks to CAFE. Small trucks have more stringent fuel standards.

33I'd roll that Rivian. It would be fun to tow the "rolling coal" assholes out of EV charging stations with it. However, like most things, I probably can't afford it.
