There is such a huge demand for scripts for original streaming movies and series in addition to broadcast TV demands and film studios but the script quality seems to be diving. In a search for new script ideas, they cross the pond and Americanize a successful European series or movie by remaking it in the USA, we'll maybe it's filmed in Canada. And they'll congratulate each other at the next awards ceremony.

I'll occasionally watch Animal Planet (until it gets to a commercial) or some History Channel. Other than that I hang out on several Internet Gun forums and work with an Open Source Flight Sim developing/coding virtual aircraft and coordinate a lot with guys all over the world on improving 3D models and animations and adding new aircraft as well as flying together in Virtual Airspace. Geeky and Tweeky and much better for the brain than watching TV.
Then I also shoot handguns and have taken up precision rifle shooting and reload for both.....2 dogs to take care of and a full time job. So TV is just wasted time having my brain bashed and induces Anxiety Attacks when I watch the evening news or catch bits of propaganda, It's just a waste for me. Unproductive, idle mind, neither learning, sharing, nor being entertained. I watch a lot of online precision rifle stuff from how to properly mount and zero scopes, ranging via reticle, reloading for precision rifle, and all that stuff.
TV is just so far down the list of idle time stuff that is entertaining or satisfying that it never gets done.

What other gun forums are you visiting that don't make you want to take a shower when you're done?

Mostly I like watching the local news. I will tune into TCM when they have some good movies on. I like PBS.
For sports when there is no baseball I like the olympic channel.

Snipers Hide and Glock Talk aren't too bad if you use it as research and ignore the politics or take the politics with a grain of salt. Lot's of "Gun Stuff" to be learned plus I get a heaping helping of NRA/Classic Right Wing Gun Owners opinions and perspective. It's hard to not take it personally but I'm a very tolerant person except with intolerant bully types and then I just put them on Ignore. When I have 20 people on ignore I move along.
Actually I'm still a registered Republican who found Liberalism and Socialism while trying to prove Democrats wrong....I challenged myself to find the fault in their logic and, like the Dude in "The Last Samurai" I realized I had more in common with Liberals and Socialists than Fascists and Nationalists. I digress.
All gun forums will have me wanting to take a shower after a fair amount of time. Even this one. But even having to take a shower or putting people on ignore is more fruitful and valuable to me than watching TV. Musashi said "Do nothing which is of no value" and TV is of no value to me.

Why do most of the gun vids on YouTube start with incredibly shitty, bombastic music, with the "star" pretending to either be a warrior slaughtering enemies at great danger to himself, or as a "Dirty Harry" clone? A lot have ZZ Top beards, speak like they have marbles in their mouth, and may have serious weight problems. That's why I like Hickok45, because he begins with "Hickok45 here!" and sometimes, only sometimes, pretends to be the warrior or in an Old West shootout--but with him, you KNOW he's goofing around, playing, and doesn't pretend to be doing serious stuff...he saves that for the testing.

My guess is that most folks making these movies are mimicking what they have seen on TV or other videos that get high amounts of views. Gotta agree YT...
Gotta love Hickok45's style. Lots of good information and opinion there.
