Socially conscious gun manufacturers?

Hello,
I am new to the Liberal Gun Club Forums, so I apologize if this is posted in the wrong category or if this question has already been answered. Essentially, I am in the process of applying for my firearms license, and plan on buying a gun soon. The thing is, I imagine most gun manufacturers are large financial supporters of conservative American politicians. I would like to know if there are any gun manufacturers out there that are more socially conscious; aren't closely tied to the NRA or any other right-wing American organizations or politicians. Are foreign brands the best way to go? I'd imagine foreign manufacturers can still donate to the NRA and other right-wing groups, so I'm really not sure what to do. I'd really like to support the most progressive (or least conservative) company I can. Thank you in advance!

The short answer to your question is NO. Most any gun company is not going to be progressive. They are all in bed with the NRA. An alternative idea might be to buy a used gun. That way you are not sending money directly to a NRA supporter.
And welcome to our forum, I would invite you to go to the new member intro section and do an intro please. We would love to hear how you found us, what kind of guns you want and what kind of shooting you would like to do.

Some of the European gun manufacturers might not be as right wing as US manufacturers. Used or "previously owned" firearms are a good suggestion. Intro link:

Thanks so much for your reply, Hiker! I’m very excited to be here! Just posted an intro. Sorry if I should have done that first.
As to the topic answer, I fully understand. There was just a tiny sliver of hope that there was some manufacturer out there who wasn’t like that, lol. But it makes perfect sense that they all are. Used guns are a very good alternative. I have several inherited guns in the family, so I guess I have no problem with buying older guns in general. Thanks again!

Appreciate the response, highdesert! I too was thinking that about foreign brands. I’m hoping to find some evidence about a certain company- I’ll keep researching. As for now, it does seem used guns are the way to go for me.
Just posted an intro. Excited to be here. Thanks again!
