Our polling place is in a little township building in the woods near the Appalachian Trail. It’s not that small - it actually has TWO porta potties.
It’s been raining hard with clearing expected this afternoon. We were going to wait but worried about crowd size later on. So we drove up at about 7:45. A 15 minute drive through the fall foliage. We parked right outside the door to the poll and walked in. No lines at all.
We only had four races. No initiatives.

4Polls open at 6:00 a.m. in my state. I arrived at 5:48. The parking lot was full. There was a line. By the time the polls opened, the line was out the door. Hell yes, I voted.

Re: Didja vote yet?
10Many years ago, my great grandmother was a suffragette. Not anyone famous, she just went to meetings and carried a sign. So women got the vote. On the first election she could vote, her husband came to her and said, "Now Mary, it ain't gonna do us no good to go vote, cause one of us is republican and the other is Democrat. Our votes are just going to cancel each other out, and there's lots of work to be done here on the farm." They were practical country people, so she said, "well I guess you're right." Her husband hitched up the mule and went to the back field to plow. She cleaned up to go to town and vote. When she got there, she saw her husband riding the mule to the poll. They never said a word to each other, just went in and cast their vote!!!

15Some truth to this- Especially since anxiety rates are the highest they've been in a decade. So gotta laugh at it a bit.

18Tried to drop off my Vote by Mail last night. Drop off box was in a local library. Library was closed.
Went this morning to my polling place. About 40 people in line at 6:50am, polls opened at 7. When the polls opened I asked a poll worker how to drop off my ballot, he said to walk right in. Done at 7:05am.

Re: Didja vote yet?
23I used to love early voting when I lived in AZ. There is no early voting here. I must say that enjoy voting on Election Day. Something about standing in line, trying to ascertain the leanings if my fellow voters while respecting their and my privacy, dealing with the ballot, etc.
I love the smell of voting in the morning. Smells like democracy.
