Texans Have A Funny Relationship With The Letter “R”
When it comes to the way Texans talk, it’s not only about the drawl, y’all.
Enjoy the latest from WF Strong. Now, you can read his post if you like, but you'll miss the ambiance. ;)

These are stories from Texas. Some of them are true.

ETA...I have to add this one. Yes, there's a punchline that I don't want to spoil. ;) https://www.texasstandard.org/stories/o ... s-me-this/
About a month ago, my son went off to college with my Jeep, and I needed to get another vehicle. I had been truckless for a few years – a rare condition in my life – and I decided I wanted to fix that right away. For a long time, I had wanted a King Ranch Edition Ford pickup, with those fine leather seats, carrying the classic brand of the ranch I hunted on as boy. So now, I had the chance – and the reason – to buy one.

Great articles, reminded me of Molly Ivins. They might have gotten the "r" from the Brits who often change a final "a" to an "r" where 'idea" becomes "idear".

Once y'all have Blue Bell you forget the pie. :yahoo:

Never tried it though I've seen it at Wally World, I've gotten away from sweets except fruit. I have a relative who is hooked on Blue Bell Sugar-Free Mint Chocolate, she always has some in her freezer.

Next time you want some fruit, grab some Blue Bell and a melon baller. Little balls of ice cream look just like grapes and stuff. You can even pretend to pull the stems off when you're eating them.

I'd have to have a few Scotches or IPAs and take off my glasses for that one to work.
