As an experiment, and hopefully to trigger making this or something like it an official and permanent fundraiser for the club, I've created an Amazon Affiliate link as the LGC Boosterclub. 100% of proceeds go to the club, and I'll post screen shots from the Amazon affiliate page to show how we're doing.

This will take you to a book, "The Founders' View of the Right to Bear Arms". You do not have to purchase this book!

Here's the overview: Any shopping that begins with using that link (which contains the affiliate code) will proceed as normal, and all prices will be the same. This doesn't cost you anything beyond your normal purchase. As long as we enter Amazon with that link, purchases will generate a 2-10% referral fee that will be paid to the booster club account. Each time Amazon pays, I'll make a full donation to the club.

The tracking ID for this experiment is "lgcboosterclu-20"

I have several items in my Amazon cart. If I close my browser then go into Amazon via the link, then go and purchase was is on my cart, will that count?

I don't know. I'll try a purchase and report back. In the meantime, you could clear your cart and refill it just to be on the safe side.

ETA...hmmm...it looks like the referral system wants to see clicks turn into shipped items, so best to start with an empty cart.

Maybe try the "save for later" option then click through from the link and add the items to the cart?

OK, I just tried it... clicked through to purchase. Did it work?

I'll have to make sure my cat's not looking when I pull reports so she doesn't get jealous.

I'm'a gonna try it, as I need shorter straps for my molle 1911 holster. I'll report back.

Amazon's taking their sweet time shipping some orders (I've got two on this list that might ship on Monday), but here's where we are tonight.

As an aside - this is the list of orders (shipped and unshipped) as of today. There's no info available on who purchased the products. Catfood and MOLLE confirmed, though. I'm a bit disappointed that there's no sign of a fuchsia bodysuit with sequins and chintz though.

I'll definately put my orders through this. Can we do a facebook post on this once the kinks are worked out?

I don't do the face pages, but posting a link there would work. Also - there's nothing special about the product I linked in the OP, other than the affiliate codes. We can select any products Amazon carries for the gateway link. Any preferences?

Amazon ended the experiment as I don't own the LGC domain. They'e also deleted the LGC Booster Club affiliate account. I hope one of our officers will pick this up.

I've made a personal donation to cover the money we would have received from Amazon. I've also removed the links here as they no longer work.

Basically, someone that actually 'owns' the site can activate the affiliate process. I activated an affiliate option on my personal Amazon account but since I don't own the site my experiment failed their review. There's a tax aspect as well, so probably best if an officer builds an LGC account separate from their personal account.

The process has about 4 steps, then presents a search box to find an item to link. Once we have a link, we can post it and steer people to it. Sure, we get extra points from the Russian judge if the search is integrated into the site, but we don't need it to get cash flowing.
