Nice! Is the top one a Sten gun?
[/quote]Sterling Mk 6, the semi-auto version of the Mk IV, which was the successor to the STEN. It will actually take STEN magazines. Since the magazine was a bit of a weak point on the STEN, the Sterling's magazine is an absolute work of art. Without a doubt, the best SMG magazine ever.

The kids love it, and my son loves that it's the "Blaster" from Star Wars. It's an absolute hoot to shoot, and it's far more accurate than it has a right to be out to 200m. Mine has also been flawlessly accurate, and it doesn't much care what kind of garbage you put down the pipe.

I’m going in a Warhammer Battlemech. That should be sufficient to meet any threat. Plus, the mech almost exclusive, heavy energy weapon armament paired with fusion reactor engine means if ammo is scarce I’ll be in the fight longer.

I used to play Mech Warrior with the boys when it first came out. It wasn't very hight tech and only had several missions and Mechs but it was the precursior to the boys becoming huge gamers.

Yeah, my brother and I played Battletech and painted the miniatures. I still have a bunch of the sourcebooks - I always liked the lore. You only needed a couple of minis so it was much more accessible than Warhammer. When Mechwarrior 2 video game hit - we played that a ton. If you look at those graphics now, they are laughable. We had to buy a “coprocessor” chip to even play it. What can I say, I’m a big nerd. I’m excited for season 6 of the Expanse & season 2 of the Witcher…

But anyways, sorry for the thread hijack.

Actually, they should be way, way, way, way, way, way, way, way UP the list of what to grab. If you're in a SHTF situation, you need to be able to do, among other stuff, two very important things.

1.) Defend yourself and any loved ones
2.) Feed yourself and said loved ones

The best way to do that, with current technology, is with a firearm or two. For me, that would probably mean a revolver and levergun chambered for a common magnum handgun cartridge (e. g. .357M or .44M, and I'd probably go with .357M). It would also mean plenty of ammo to feed said firearms, and since I reload, that means components and the Lee Turret Press (or the smaller Lee Reloader Press, if weight is an issue) come with me as well.
