Re: In Minnesota, you are the Musky bait.

Minneapolis is home to a chain of lakes that have heavy recreational use, and are stocked with Tiger Musky. Bites on hands and feet are not that uncommon. Probably not a good place to let your froufrou dog swim in them.
Freedom is never more than one generation away from extinction. It must be fought for, protected, and handed on or one day we will spend our sunset years telling our children what it was once like in the United States where men were free.

This time of the year there are algae blooms going on in the water and visibility can be quite cloudy, simply a case of mistaken identity.

When my kids where little a similar incident happened at our family lake cabin. A neighbor girl was bitten on her foot and the bite mark was quite clearly in the shape of a big pike. My kids where terrified to go swimming until a week later my uncle had been up there and convinced them that he caught and ate the fish.

Both Muskies and Northern pike are very impressive fish, I've had them hang around quite close to me while scuba diving in the past, those experiences turned me off to catch and release or trophy fishing.
