yes, it's a shame they had to spell out what had already been clearly set forth in the declaration:'
"we hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their creator with certain inalienable rights, that among these are life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness..."
i'm retired. what's your excuse?

That's because the Declaration of Independence does not have the force of Law. The 14th IS, in many ways, possibly the most important amendment.
Naturally, it's the one that ReThugs want to change--Lindsey "Flip-Flop" Graham was looking at repealing it years ago, when Trump was still just a bad, dirty joke.

Watching it, interesting. Judges: Consuelo M Callahan; Kenneth K Lee; Barbara M Lynn.

Callahan is a W appointee and one of the judges in the 2-1 decision supporting Peruta against San Diego County. Lee is a Trump appointee, he worked in the W administration and Lynn is a district court judge (No TX district) appointed by Clinton.

I suggest the same argument exists phrased like this: these firearms _can_ use thirty round magazines and therefore should, for the public good. We have yet to see a definition of that term, public good. I could define it in favor of large capacity.

Isn't that one of the arguments Benitez made in "Freedom Week"? Using examples of people who got killed because they ran out of ammo in their self defense firearm?
Yup.
And Benitez's very apt comment during oral argument.
THE COURT [Judge Benitez]: SO AS I WAS READING THIS, IT DAWNED ON ME THAT THE PERSON WHO ACTUALLY NEEDS THE LARGER CAPACITY MAGAZINES FOR SELF-DEFENSE IS THE CIVILIAN WHO DOESN'T GET TO GO TO THE FIRING RANGE, YOU KNOW, THREE TIMES A YEAR OR FOUR TIMES A YEAR; WHO DOESN'T GO THROUGH THE PROGRAMS, FOR EXAMPLE, DOWNSTAIRS AT THE MARSHAL'S OFFICE WHERE THEY HAVE THE VARIOUS SCENARIOS YOU GO THROUGH AND YOU GET TO IDENTIFY "DO I SHOOT OR NOT SHOOT," RIGHT? SO LAW ENFORCEMENT NEEDS FEWER ROUNDS BECAUSE THEY HAVE MORE TRAINING THAN THE AVERAGE CIVILIAN WHO IS AT HOME AND DOESN'T HAVE THAT CONSTANT KIND OF TRAINING. DOES THAT MAKE SENSE TO YOU?

Full quote from Judge Lee (1/2): "But those larger capacity magazines, according to the record, account for almost half of the magazines in the United States, and they are regularly used in handguns - the Glock 17 or the Beretta - and these are the staples of self-defense...
...so why doesn't that impose a substantial burden if it restricts half of the magazines in America, especially when they're used in guns that are typically used for self-defense?"

Callahan and Lee both seemed knowledgeable about handguns, of course they might have gotten quick lessons from the US Marshals that protect them. Callahan is from CA's Central Valley and she dominated the questions. We might get lucky and have a unanimous decision for Duncan that strongly supports Benitez's decision.

Link chain out of the bottom and looped under the firing arm.

If you can't get it done with a full pack of ammo, you obviously needed more training.

Sage advice from the Peach State.

You could use existing technology and loop it over your shoulder and down your arm, too.
