The Finn stocks are so massive somehow. Just big ol' logs. Robust, I should say.
This one shows its share of scuffs and dents. Seein' as how the receiver is so old, I've constructed a life around this guy. He was built under the Czar when the Czar was young. As the Czar grew older and the dynasty began to lose its grip, this old guy probably defended Czarist stuff in the Revolution of 1906, or maybe saw service in the Japanese war then. He probably saw action in the Great War, up near Prussia. Then it probably made its way to Finland in a Russian's hands as Finland broke away from Russia during the Communist Revolution. He was captured, pried from the literally cold dead fingers of a frozen Russian lad--highly pitted, I'm guessing the fingers were just bones. Then he likely fought in the Winter War, and again in the Continuation War against the Soviets and for Finland. Then he was sold as scrap, collected a few times, and ended up in my safe.
That's my story and I'm stickin' to it. All's I can prove for sure is it's Finn captured, but what fun is that?
