A St. Paul man has been indicted on a charge of illegally selling large quantities of weapons online while posing as a gun collector, one of the first cases charged in the wake of President Obama’s pledge to crack down on unregulated firearms sales.
Several of the handguns allegedly sold by Eitan Benjamin Feldman, 29, soon turned up at Twin Cities crime scenes, according to a 10-count indictment unsealed Thursday.
The indictment is just the third unlicensed-seller case charged by the U.S. attorney’s office in the last decade.

The guy bought and sold 40 guns in a short period if time. The ATF also warned him last year that he was crossing the line. Despite the warning he sold 8 more.
Anybody dense enough to ignore an ATF warning deserves an extended free stay at Club Fed.

"Illegally selling", why the quotation marks? Do you feel he was wrongly arrested DM?

"Illegally selling" was a quote from the article that allowed for coming up with a title <=60 chars in about 3 seconds. Anyone hoping to read more into it for the purpose of starting an argument will have to live with the disappointment.

Eitan Feldman, 28, bought and sold a whole lot of guns without running background checks on his customers. Some of those guns later turned up at crime scenes, including a shots-fired incident, a gun-pointing assault, a drug raid, and a drug trafficking stop of 50 pounds of Californian pot bound for Minnesota.
Noticing a suspicious link between Feldman and the crime guns, an agent with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) looked up Feldman's purchase records. The agent found that Feldman committed a small paperwork violation – he’d listed his address as a different location in St. Paul than where he actually lived.
