Industry intelligence reports says from 1990 to 2010, there has been a 74-percent decrease in youth firearm related fatalities. Some attribute that to accessible education.

"In my experience since 1989, our hunting related incidents have decreased quite a bit due to our hunter education and the wearing of orange has helped out with that tremendously during our deer firearm season," said Sergeant McKnight.
