I don't know about CT's laws, but here in WI, if a cop requests to see your ID and CCP, you're required by law to break it out and hand it over so he can run it.

I'm not a real big fan of people that deliberately make a scene with their guns to record a cop's response. From my understanding, a cop has the lawful authority to demand you to present your license to carry.

It's not a public place. It's privately owned. People don't understand that.

Good read. It reinforces the need within respective laws to be very clear about what is and is not allowed - does one have to show a permit if asked; is carrying sufficient for a stop; etc. Without such specific language, the courts have to rely upon other case law, which always has gray areas.
