Help! Google Chrome toolbar won't go away...

Help needed from my more computer literate LGC friends. My 7 year old was watching PBS kids on my lap top and when I got it back from her Google Chrome was set-up a little different. It has a "shelf" at the bottom of the window that covers up my Windows taskbar. Also, if I hoover my mouse near the top of the screen a little pull-down apears that says "Google Chrome." Lastly, when I hit the X to exit out of chrome this tool bar thing stays in place until I "X" out of it.
Not sure what she did, but she is quite the little stinker.

Not sure what she did, and I don't know much about Chrome, but you can try a few things.
First, go to upper right of the screen and double click the three-barred thingie (I forget what it's called). A Chrome menu will open. You can go to History first and delete everything done since the beginning of time. Then click on Help and see if there's an answer for you there. Then click on settings. Go to the bottom of the settings menu screen, click on show Advanced Settings, and then go to the bottom again and click Reset Settings.
Sorry I don't know more.

Did you ask the seven year old? Usually a kid can resolve these issues quickly for say a $1 fee.

So I figured out it is called a "shelf" and not a toolbar. I had to go in and tell chrome to open in desktop mode.
